Something funny is on its way.
Author · Founder, Humor & Heart Publishing
I write children's books that find the funny, peculiar angle on ordinary things — sparking laughter, a little wonder, and an ending that always lands somewhere warm. Built for the grown-ups too, who'll happily reach for these stories at bedtime.
Stories with humor & heart
After 15+ years in the corporate world, I traded boardrooms for board books — well, mostly picture books, but that isn't as catchy.
What began as a creative outlet became a calling. I've finished more than a dozen manuscripts, joined several SCBWI critique groups, and founded Humor & Heart Publishing™ — the imprint that will carry my first books into the world. I write the kind of stories that make reading the best part of the day: interactive, a little mischievous, with narrators who pull kids right into the story.
When I'm not writing, you'll find me on the softball field coaching my daughters — which turns out to be just another critique group, only louder, dirtier, and far less forgiving of my puns.

Something funny is on its way.
There's a place where kids can be loud, get dirty, steal (bases!), and never, ever give up. A rule-breaking rally cry for every kid who plays like winning is optional but joy is not.

More than a dozen manuscripts are waiting their turn — arriving through a mix of traditional publishing and my own imprint, Humor & Heart Publishing.
After the kids are asleep
I also write literary fiction for adults — darker stories about complicated people and the moments that change them.
